Description for the all day Progressive Meal Tour

7:45 A.M. Departs from the Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center.

The Progressive Meal Tour gives us most of the day to explore the back roads, passing beautiful farm lands, buggies, and scenic views.  It also gives me the chance to share in detail about our Amish Culture in Holmes County.

  • 8:00 A.M. Begin with a hearty breakfast in an Amish home.
  • We'll start our back road tour with stops at several Amish artisans, such as candle makers, leather belt makers, and a unique attraction called Keim Lumber.
  • Noon ~ Lunch at Amish home # 2.
  • Tour the historical mural, Behalt.
  • Buggy ride or tour the proto-type one room school house.   (Not available in Nov.)
  • Amish family who makes and sells their handmade baskets along with a demo.
  • Amish Country store a.k.a the "Amish Wal-mart" store.
  • 5:30 PM   Dinner at Amish home # 3

We always "look" for unique opportunities along the tour that may be happening and let you experience it first hand.  The picture to the right is a frolic put together for the young adults to gather and fellowship together.

*Due to unforeseen circumstances with the Amish culture, we reserve the right to replace any stops listed above.
